Beartooth Glacier
Nature
Beartooth Glacier is a Montana glacier in a cirque northeast of Beartooth Mountain, high in the Beartooth Mountains at an average elevation of about 10,500 feet. It occupies a natural bowl-shaped hollow carved into the mountain landscape, a characteristic setting for a cirque glacier. Its importance is chiefly geographic, as one of the high-elevation glaciers in the Beartooth area of the northern Rocky Mountains.
