Nicholson Peak is an 11,040-foot mountain in Idaho’s Lemhi Range within Salmon-Challis National Forest. Located in Butte County, it lies west-northwest of Little Diamond Peak and southwest of Shoshone John Peak. Rising 3,360 meters above sea level, it is the 98th highest peak in Idaho. Its place in the Lemhi Range makes it part of the high, rugged mountains of east-central Idaho, where it stands as one of the named summits above the forested public lands of the Salmon-Challis.
