The Williamston Wall of Honor is dedicated by American Legion Post 296 to Williamston-area men and women who gave their lives for their country and to all who have served in the Armed Forces of the nation, past, present, and future. Those named are Thorn McCarthy and Donald McKie for World War I; Henry Bannerman, Robert Dansby, Robert Eaton, Wesley Elliott, Warren Galvin, Robert Lapreze, Owen Minor, Irvin Offil, Russell Pedigo, Allen Pierce, Milford Powers, James Rector, Richard Riebow, James Schwartz, Levi Sisco, Robert Stone, Kenneth White, Donald Wickham, Daniel Wycoff, and Donald Wycoff for World War II; Ralph Consavage, Walter Estes, Jay Forsberg, John Hasford, Bernard Meirndorf, and David Pendell for Vietnam; and Gregory McCoy for the Persian Gulf Wars.
