Doylestown High School served students from first through twelfth grade and included an opportunity class now called special education. Built in 1890 and dedicated on April 8, 1890, the school was destroyed by fire on February 23, 1973. Its last graduating class was in 1952, and its original class bell hangs at CB West Football Field. Among its famous graduates were James Michener and Margaret Mead.
