Wildrose Peak is a 9,064-foot summit in the Panamint Range of eastern California, high above Death Valley National Park and the Mojave Desert. Its dramatic relief rises about 9,300 feet above Badwater Basin within 10 miles, helping define the park’s stark terrain. The mountain offers sweeping views over Death Valley, the eastern Sierra Nevada, Badwater Basin, and Mount Whitney. Its north and south slopes drain into different valleys through Trail Canyon and Wildrose Canyon, and its limestone geology preserves evidence of an ancient marine past. Wildrose Peak is also a relatively accessible high summit, reached by an 8.4-mile round-trip trail from the Wildrose Charcoal Kilns.
