Badger Creek Wilderness is a 29,057-acre wilderness area in Oregon, east of Mount Hood in the northwestern Cascades, and one of six wilderness areas in Mount Hood National Forest. Set across a transition from wetter mountain country to drier eastern slopes, it ranges from about 2,100 feet to 6,525 feet at Lookout Mountain. Glacial valleys and streams shape the terrain, while sharp changes in elevation and precipitation support notably varied plant communities, from subalpine ridges with wildflowers to ponderosa pine, oak, and grasslands farther east. Its trails, campsites, and varied landscape support hiking, camping, wildlife watching, skiing, and horseback riding.
