This Queen Anne Victorian home on Fond du Lac Avenue in Kewaskum was built in 1894 by local carpenter and contractor Louis Brandt and was originally owned by William Hausman, M.D. One of the original large Victorian homes on the avenue, it features a gabled roof, a large wraparound porch, latticework design, spindle banister rails on the first and second levels, and a balcony on the third level. Its chimney corbelling has been rebuilt and replicated in its original height and brickwork design, and its triangular gables are accented with colorful fish scale detail. The porches and siding have been updated to reflect the original design. Inside, most of the original oak woodwork remains, the flooring has unique inlaid designs, and the front door has two engraved deer in its glass panels. A two-story carriage house shared by the Hausmann families stands in the rear yard.
