Edwin C. Johnson served Colorado in thirty four continuous years of public service as a Moffat and Routt County legislator, lieutenant governor, three-time elected governor, and for eighteen years as a United States senator. In dedication to all early homesteaders, Ferne and Edwin Johnson erected this fence and preserved what was left of the home they built in 1910.
