Yampa River State Park

Yampa River State Park follows the Yampa through northwestern Colorado as a long, linear park organized around the river rather than a single tract of land. Stretching through Routt and Moffat counties toward Dinosaur National Monument, it serves especially as a base for river travel, with 13 access points along 134 miles for boating, fishing, and reaching different parts of the river corridor. Trails and walkways extend into canyons and riparian areas with views of rock formations and wildlife habitat. A visitor center east of Craig includes a nature trail, and camping ranges from a main campground to simpler sites near many access points.
