Shellburg Falls is a waterfall in Oregon’s Santiam State Forest on Shellburg Creek in the Stout Creek canyon, north of Lyons. About 100 feet tall and roughly 10 feet wide on average, it is part of a landscape known for multiple nearby cascades and falls. The waterfall lies upstream from Lower Shellburg Falls and not far from Stasel Falls, with other nearby sites including Mulkey Creek Falls, Ayers Creek Falls, and the larger cluster at Silver Falls State Park. Because Shellburg Creek depends on rainfall, Shellburg Falls has a seasonal flow and becomes much weaker during summer.
