South Falls is a well-known waterfall in Silver Falls State Park in Oregon, east of Salem, along South Silver Creek. It stands on the Trail of Ten Falls along the Canyon Trail, in the western foothills where Mount Hood National Forest meets the Middle Santiam Wilderness. It is one of four waterfalls in the park where the trail passes behind the curtain of water, helping make the area especially distinctive. Together with nearby falls including Lower South Falls, Drake Falls, Lower North Falls, and Winter Falls, it forms part of a notable cluster of waterfalls that makes the Trail of Ten Falls one of Oregon’s recognized waterfall walks.
