North Falls is a prominent waterfall in Silver Falls State Park, Oregon, on the North Fork of Silver Creek along the Trail of Ten Falls. Named for being the principal falls on North Silver Creek, it drops about 136 feet in a straight plunge, the trail’s third tallest waterfall. Water funnels through a narrow crack in basalt and hits a slanted outcrop before splashing into the pool below. North Falls is especially notable for its accessibility and close-up experience: it is the park’s only waterfall visible from Highway 214, and a short trail and stairway lead behind the cascade into a vast undercut basalt chamber.
