Andrew W. Garside, a corporal in Company H of the 15th Massachusetts Infantry, was captured at the Battle of the Wilderness in Virginia on May 6, 1864, and died as a prisoner of war at Millen, Georgia, on November 15, 1864, after he could do no more for his country.
