Kokopelli's Trail is a 142-mile multi-use route linking near Loma, Colorado, and Moab, Utah, created in 1989 through cooperation between the Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association, the Bureau of Land Management, and the United States Forest Service. Best known for mountain biking, it crosses canyon country, river valley, and the foothills near the La Sal Mountains, combining singletrack, 4x4 roads, and country roads. Its character comes from sharp elevation changes, remote camps with little water or shade, and a narrow riding season in the higher sections. It has also gained endurance-riding fame, including Lachlan Morton's fastest known time in 2020.
