Hollandsburg Covered Bridge stood southeast of Hollandsburg, Indiana, on the old Plank Road between Indianapolis and Montezuma. A single-span Burr Arch bridge built in 1872 by noted Parke County builder J. J. Daniels, it replaced an earlier Union Township Covered Bridge from the road’s timber-plank era. After the planks failed, Parke County bought the route, graveled it, and made it free, then awarded Daniels the bridge contract over a higher bid. The bridge was demolished around 1930 when the road became part of U.S. 36, amid tense but nonviolent labor unrest. Later highway changes and Mansfield Reservoir flooded the site.
