The Sedona Heritage Museum, opened in 1998 in the Walter and Ruth Jordan farmstead, focuses on the history of pioneer settlers in the greater Oak Creek area and the themes that contributed to the settlement and development of Sedona. The property, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, includes a red sandstone home, fruit packing shed, and tractor shed. Its exhibits cover Oak Creek’s first families, Sedona Schnebly, the Jordans, movies made in Sedona, ranching and cowboys, area schools, the U.S. Forest Service in Sedona, and orchard equipment, vintage wagons, and vehicles.
