Built in 1909, the Doylestown National Guard Armory stood on this site for more than 100 years as the original home of the only military unit based in Bucks County, Company G, 6th Infantry Regiment, National Guard of Pennsylvania. Serving as both a community center and military meeting place, its fortress-like walls recalled the Bucks County recruits who departed Doylestown for foreign wars in the 20th century. Its facade is preserved here as the front of the Bucks County Justice Center, dedicated in January 2015.
