The Grist Mill was conceived by Peddler's Village founder Earl Jamison and was designed and built in an authentic colonial manner in 1973 with the help of local architect Alfred N. Boell and wood craftsman Ray Nadjinski. Its water wheel was restored in 2006 by Bob Happ and Keith Hamilton.
