Virginia Peak, in Nevada’s Washoe County, is the highest point in the Pah Rah Range and the county’s most topographically prominent mountain. It ranks thirty-sixth among Nevada’s most topographically prominent summits, giving it notable geographic importance within the state. Located on public land managed by the Bureau of Land Management, it is open without access restrictions. The summit also serves a practical purpose as the site of a National Weather Service NEXRAD Doppler weather radar station, making the mountain significant not only for its elevation and prominence but also for its role in regional weather monitoring.
