Dalton Covered Bridge is a historic covered road bridge in Warner, New Hampshire, carrying Joppa Road over the Warner River. Built in 1853 by Joshua Sanborn, with abutments by George Sawyer and Webster Davis, it was named for a nearby resident known as Mrs. Dalton and later Widow Dalton. The bridge uses a king post truss joined by iron bolts and reinforced by queen post trusses, based on forms from Stephen Long’s 1837 patent. Rehabilitated in the 1960s and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, it remains a working crossing and an important example of 19th-century local craftsmanship.
