The original Boyle House was built in 1893 on a lot due south of its present location. Jacob and Mrs. Jacob Boyle bought the house in 1899, lived there, and reared eleven children there. In 1903, the Boyle family remodeled the house and added a second story to the original structure. The family remained in the house until the Bank of Malvern purchased it in 1979 and donated it to the Hot Spring County Museum Commission. In the spring of 1980, the commission moved the house to its present location and began restoring it to its original condition. The structure was dedicated in 1981 for the preservation of history.
