Wanich Covered Bridge No. 69 is a historic wooden road bridge on the boundary of Hemlock Township and Mount Pleasant Township in Columbia County, Pennsylvania. One of 28 surviving historic covered bridges in the Columbia and Montour county area, it is built in the Burr Truss arch design and measures 98.75 feet long. Although records give its construction date as either 1844 or 1884, it clearly belongs to rural Pennsylvania’s 19th-century covered bridge tradition. Its significance was formally recognized with listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, and it remains part of a notable regional concentration of these practical, skillfully crafted structures.
