Veterans from Spanish American War service in April 1898 through August 1898 included Earl E. Dailey, Roy L. Dailey, Henry Polchow, and Robert Taylor. The Battle of San Juan Hill on July 2, 1898, depicted in a detail from the charge of the 24th and 25th Colored Infantry, was a decisive battle in the Spanish American War, alongside a furious charge of Cuban insurgents against the Spanish infantry. Veterans from the Panama War service of December 20, 1989 through January 31, 1990 included Kevin Chaffer and Robert Ottenstatter. Veterans from Lebanon and Grenada War service from August 24, 1982 through July 31, 1984 included Stan Dobra, Kelly Fallis, and Michael Quinlan. During the U.S. invasion of Grenada, Operation Urgent Fury, in 1983, a U.S. Navy Ling Temco Vought A-7E4-CV Corsair II from attack squadron VA-87 Golden Warriors flew over Point Salines airfield, U.S. Army soldiers of 1st Platoon A Co. 1st Bn ABN/508th Inf, 82 Airborne Division patrolled on Grenada in October 1983, and U.S. Marines armed with M16A1 rifles watched a C-141 Starlifter arrive to evacuate American students on November 3, 1983.
