Garrison Corner honors Civil War soldiers connected with the Grand Army of the Republic who served their country and died in service: Pvt. Peter Garrison, who died 8-11-1863; Pvt. Felix Rude, who died 4-14-1863; and Pvt. Lewis Rude, who died 8-12-1863, of Co. E, 47th Regt. Ohio Infantry. They live in the memory of their families forever although their remains were never returned to Garrison Cemetery.
