Built in 1891 by rancher F. M. Patton, this native-stone barn with cottonwood framing used some lumber from abandoned Fort Elliott. It was one of the first barns in the county and was used to store prairie hay and alfalfa. The W. G. Stiles family, the owners, purchased the ranch in 1901. It became a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1967.
