Sawyer, also known as Old Kendallville Cemetery, was established in 1836 and serves as the burial place of pioneers. In 1933 it was reclaimed by the Frances Dingman Chapter D.A.R. and is maintained by the city of Kendallville. It is a historic cemetery listed in Indiana's Cemetery and Burial Grounds Registry of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
