The House of Happy Walls was built by Charmian K. London in 1919 in memory of her husband, renowned author Jack London. It houses many of his works and the collection gathered in their travels throughout the world. Charmian's house, the ruins of Jack's Wolf House, and his grave were presented to the State of California in 1960 by his nephew, Irving Shepard.
