Holyoke Heritage State Park, opened in 1986 on the former William Skinner Silk Mill site in Holyoke, Massachusetts, connects visitors to the city’s industrial and cultural past. Built where a major mill complex burned in 1980, it features exhibits on paper manufacturing and Holyoke’s broader history, with grounds overlooking the canals and surviving mill buildings that shaped the city as a manufacturing center. The park also includes family and cultural attractions, preserves part of the former Holyoke and Westfield Railroad, and has hosted tourist and seasonal excursion trains. It remains both a green space and an introduction to the city’s manufacturing heritage.
