Wilkins Mill Covered Bridge, north of Rockville, Indiana, is a historic covered road bridge built in 1906 by William Hendricks as a single-span Burr Arch Truss measuring 120 feet long. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, it preserves the name of a nearby milling settlement. That settlement began with a mill built upstream by Solomon Jessup and Zimri Hunt in 1835, then took its enduring name after George Wilkins opened a store there in 1853, bought the mill in 1855, and replaced it. Even after later mills disappeared, the name remained. The creek below also changed course over time, briefly leaving the bridge above a dry bed before water returned.
