Pine Knob is a 2,704-foot mountain in Pennsylvania’s Allegheny Mountains, regarded as a satellite summit of the higher Blue Knob nearby. It stands within a cluster of neighboring peaks that includes Schaefer Head, Round Knob, Cattle Knob, and Ritchey Knob, and a 2,597-foot saddle connects it to Ritchey Knob, distinguishing it as a separate but subordinate height in the Blue Knob area. Older topographic maps place the community of Ski Gap, once labeled Fredericksburg, at its southern base. Unlike many summits, Pine Knob remains undeveloped, with no roads or hiking trails reaching its top.
