Newport Covered Bridge, also called the Morehead Covered Bridge and County Bridge No. 67, is a historic covered road bridge in Vermillion Township, Indiana, spanning the Little Vermilion River with a single-span Burr Arch Truss. Built in 1885, its timber structure is enclosed in the traditional covered form that protected bridge components from weather. At 210 feet long and 16 feet wide, it is a substantial example of its kind. Its listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994 reflects its importance within Indiana’s surviving covered-bridge heritage and its place as a preserved reminder of 19th-century bridge building.
