North Baldface is a 3,606-foot mountain in Bean’s Purchase, New Hampshire, in the eastern White Mountains, named for the steep, barren southeast face that gives it a striking profile. Standing beside South Baldface along the Baldface Circle Trail, the two peaks are a popular summer hiking destination reached by several trails, including Slippery Brook, Baldface Knob, Meader Ridge, and Bicknell Ridge. The mountain also marks a notable local watershed divide: its slopes drain into the Cold River and Saco River systems, the East Branch Saco, and the Wild River, whose waters continue to the Androscoggin, the Kennebec, and ultimately the Atlantic.
