Reynolds Peak is a 9,690-foot summit in Alpine County, California, on the Sierra Nevada crest in the Mokelumne Wilderness near Ebbetts Pass. Set on the boundary of Humboldt–Toiyabe and Stanislaus national forests, it divides runoff between the North Fork Mokelumne River and tributaries of the East Fork Carson River. The mountain rises moderately above surrounding meadows and stands near Raymond Peak and Highland Peak, while the Pacific Crest Trail passes along its eastern base. Officially named in 1929, it honors Gilbert Elmer Reynolds, a Stockton Record editor, Sierra Club member, and advocate for forest conservation in California.
