Hollingshead Covered Bridge No. 40 is a historic wooden covered bridge in Catawissa Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. Built in 1850, it carries a road across Catawissa Creek and is one of twenty-eight historic covered bridges in Columbia and Montour counties. The bridge is a 116.9-foot Burr Truss span with a tarred metal roof, a practical feature that helped shield its timber structure from weather. Its preservation received formal recognition with its listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, and it remains part of the region’s notable concentration of covered bridges.
