Different sides of the mountain drain into several streams, including the West Branch of the Upper Ammonoosuc River, the West Branch of Mill Brook, Fox Brook, Whipple Brook, Burnside Brook, Otter Brook, and the Israel River. Its significance lies in its place within the regional landscape and drainage network.
