Little Jacks Creek Wilderness is a protected wilderness area in southwestern Idaho's Owyhee country, where rugged canyons, streams, and broad basalt plateaus create steep, broken terrain within the desert plateau. About 12.4 miles of Little Jacks Creek are protected as a wild river, and the area includes volcanic features such as red rhyolite and a large basalt dome covered with grass and sagebrush. Established in 2009 as part of the Owyhee Canyonlands Wilderness Areas, it was one of six new wilderness areas in Owyhee County. Its undeveloped landscape supports wildlife including mountain quail, mule deer, Columbia River redband trout, and sage grouse.
