Grassy Mountain is a summit in Murray County in northwestern Georgia, within the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest near Lake Conasauga. Rising to 3,694 feet, it is among the higher mountains in this part of the state and, by a 100-foot prominence rule, ranks as the county’s second-tallest peak after nearby Bald Mountain. A fire lookout tower on the summit offers views of Fort Mountain, the Cohutta Wilderness, and the Ridge-and-Valley Appalachians.
