Panther Creek Falls Trail is a remote interior hiking route in Georgia’s Cohutta Mountains, within the southern Smoky Mountains and the 35,000-acre Cohutta Wilderness. Part of the wilderness area’s 87-mile trail system, it cannot be reached by road and is accessible only by connecting trails from the Conasauga River Trail on the west or the East Cowpen Trail on the east. Beginning at the meeting of Panther Creek and the Conasauga River, the trail runs about 3.5 miles. It follows an old railroad grade for the first mile, then climbs through a boulder field to Panther Creek Falls, where broad views open over the Conasauga River Valley.
