Colorow Mountain is a summit in the Indian Valley area of northwestern Colorado, in Rio Blanco County, and is closely associated with the Colorow Mountain State Wildlife Area near White River City. Covering about 1,500 acres, the wildlife area supports camping, hunting, hiking, horseback riding, and wildlife viewing, while also providing access to Bureau of Land Management lands to the north. Opened in 2013 after a land swap between ExxonMobil and Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the protected area reflects an effort to preserve wildlife habitat and links the mountain to a broader network of public open land in this part of Colorado.
