Enlisted men and women of the United States are defined by the professionalism expressed in the Oath of Enlistment: to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; to bear true faith and allegiance to it; and to obey the orders of the President of the United States and the officers appointed over them according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice, ending with the pledge, "So help me God," and the reminder not to forget who they are.
