Brighton Recreation Area, more commonly called Brighton State Recreation Area, is a protected recreation area in Michigan near the Mount Brighton ski area. Spanning 4,947 acres, it is part of a regional cluster of outdoor destinations that includes the nearby Pinckney State Recreation Area. Designed for use in multiple seasons, it offers 39 miles of trails for mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and horse riding, along with three campgrounds with more than 200 campsites. These features make it an important base for both day trips and overnight outdoor recreation in southeastern Michigan.
