All who served during the Global War on Terrorism are honored for their part in operations and campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan from 2001 to 2021, with special honor to Lance Corporal Ronald Douglas Freeman of the U.S. Marine Corps, who paid the supreme sacrifice fighting in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, on April 28, 2011.
