Arboretum Villanova was a 222-acre arboretum across the campus of Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania. Designated in 1993, it included about 1,500 trees from 254 species, including sequoia, sycamore, pine, flowering pear, crabapple, cherry, and horse chestnut. Many trees were labeled, giving the landscape educational as well as ornamental and environmental value. Although it has lost its arboretum designation, the campus remains a broad public tree collection open daily without charge. The university’s Grounds Division has cared for the collection and guided planning for its trees, preserving the site as a notable botanical landscape within the campus.
