Gardner Heritage State Park in Gardner, Massachusetts, was a history-focused state park that explored the city’s industrial past, particularly its long connection to furniture manufacturing. Located in a former firehouse, it opened in the winter of 1985 and operated until 2002. After the park closed permanently, the Gardner Museum received its artifacts and other historic holdings. The park mattered as a place devoted to preserving and presenting the industrial history that helped define Gardner.
