Stewart Bridge
Science & Tech
Stewart Bridge is a covered road bridge near Walden, Oregon, that spans Mosby Creek, a tributary of the Row River. Built in 1930, it is a 60-foot Howe truss bridge and represents Oregon’s historic covered-bridge tradition. Its importance comes from both its traditional timber truss design and its survival as a small rural crossing from the early twentieth century. In 1979, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places, recognizing its place in the state’s transportation and architectural heritage.
