Mount McConnel is an eight thousand twelve-foot summit in the Mummy Range of northern Colorado's Rocky Mountains, located in the Cache La Poudre Wilderness within Roosevelt National Forest. About twenty-two point seven miles west-northwest of Fort Collins, it is both a geographic high point and a popular hiking destination because the Mount McConnel National Recreation Trail leads to its summit. Its protected wilderness setting places it in one of the more rugged parts of the northern Front Range.
