Stinging Fork Falls State Natural Area is a protected natural area near Spring City, Tennessee, centered on Stinging Fork Falls, a 30-foot waterfall reached by a trail of about 1 mile from the parking area. Covering 783 acres, it is designated as a Tennessee Class II Natural-Scientific State Scenic Area and is owned by the State of Tennessee, with management by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. The land was once owned and managed by Bowater Paper Company as part of its Pocket Wilderness recreation tracts. A planned future segment of the Cumberland Trail will connect the falls to a broader long-distance trail network.
