Deer Creek Hot Springs, also called Bigelow Hot Springs, is a natural thermal spring on the McKenzie River in western Oregon's Cascade Range, just south of McKenzie River Bridge. Water emerges from a shallow overhanging cave at about 104 °F, feeding soaking pools typically enclosed by a rock ring with coarse sand below and water about 1 to 2 feet deep. The main pool area is roughly 8 by 13 feet, but the McKenzie River continually reshapes the site. In winter and spring, high water can merge the separate pools into one and flood them with cold water, making conditions vary greatly by season.
