Barbours Creek Wilderness Addition is a protected wildland in the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests of western Virginia, adjoining the Barbours Creek Wilderness and extending protected backcountry across upland oak forest managed mainly as bear habitat. Recognized by The Wilderness Society as a Mountain Treasure, it includes ridge-and-valley terrain, varied forests shaped by slope and drainage, a class II wild trout stream, and a small tract of old-growth trees at least 140 years old. With no designated trails, it retains an undeveloped character, while old logging roads and railroad grades reflect earlier timbering. Its roadless status has added protection from road building and timber sales.
