Veterans from Teton Valley served in many wars and conflicts from World War I to the Middle East, and this dedication honors all who served yesterday and all who serve today. In World War I, 183 served and 4 were killed: Guy S. Butler, Lindsay Edward Murdock, Moses A. Hulet, and George Anthony Smith. In World War II, 436 served and 14 were killed: Marlo Allen, A.C. Anderson, Irvin T. Bates, George Thomas Beard, Eddie Bochlke, Gerald M. Daniels, Donald Foster, Leonard Hill, Edwin Holmquist, Dale E. Palmer, James Clint Penfold, Robert Sorensen, Welden D. Sorensen, and John Walsh. In Vietnam, 50 served and 2 were killed: Lester Neal Moulton and Mark J. O’Brian. It honors those of whom all gave some and some gave all, and affirms that freedom has a special meaning for those who fight for it.
